Elk doorbell module and Aiphone

i have an HAI OP2 automation panel installed with an elk-930 doorbell detector and elk-960 delay timer that works perfectly with my doorbell. im using a generic plunger type doorbell and standard push button. i have automation setup in the HAI that the doorbell is a zone that is "ready" until someones pushes the button and then goes as "not ready". when its not ready, i flash lights in my office and theater. works great, but im now looking to get an aiphone camera and intercom to replace the doorbell button. the aiphone has a contact closure input but im not sure from the instructions if i can still have it setup to act like my old doorbell button where i can trigger automation when it gets pushed. can anyone help out in looking at the product instructions below and tell me if what i want to do is possible? i appreciate the help. thanks in advance!

It looked like the option connector had room for a normally-open contact - you'd have to test this (with a volt meter) but you should be able to wire those two wires from the OPTION connector directly to a zone on your panel and set it as Normally Open - and be fine. You'd obviously take the doorbell detector out of the mix.

I don't believe the option output is activated upon the press of the door station button. It's the other unlabeled button on the master station that activates this output.(I'm pretty sure)

Look at page 6 in the manual.
