Hi guys,
I just installed a new system (ELK EZ8 w/ basic ELK-SP35 speaker) and before I contact Elk's Tech support I wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything. About 90% of the time when the alarm is triggered the speaker doesn't go off (playing a siren noise). About 10% of the time it works but the keypad has a louder buzzer than the speaker. i have installed other EZ8 systems and have had no issues/ and they all ave been much much louder.
Here are the things i have checked.
-The speaker is hooked up to output 2
-in globals "output 2" is set to siren output, delay=0
-in globals "siren""change yelp to industrial buzzer" is unchecked
-the connections are good, no breaks in the wire, with less than a 5 foot run.
Like I said I just want to make sure I'm not missing something simple like the wrong check box, before I call up tech support.
Thanks!
