Elk M1 and Netgear DG834G

Hey folks,
I just purchased and installed a new Netgear DSL wireless modem/router model #DG834G. I was using frontier's modem/router, but was sick of paying the monthly rental fee. Anyway, now I can't get the new router to recognize my M1XEP. I have been fooling around with it for two days. The router recognizes my two wireless laptops and my wired desktop, but that's it. Anyone else using this modem with an M1?

Is the IP address of the M1XEP hard coded or using DHCP (assigned by the router)? This sounds like a basic configuration issue. If hard coded the frontier router may have been in a different address range, for example, the frontier may have been using 192.168.2.n while the new Netgear router is using 192.168.1.n Your laptops would work because they are most likely using DHCP which assigns network addresses dynamically to the laptops.

I don't have an Elk and there may be something else there but this is where I would start trouble shooting. You should be b able to get into your netgear router's configuration page via a web address, same is true for the frontier to compare.
