Elk M1 and RUssound Compoint

Hi,

I was curious if anyone has connected an Elk to a russound compoint to get whole house annoucements using the compoint output.

Thoughts?

Someone on CT looked into doing this, but ran into a brick wall with Russound.

Here's something.

That was just a quick search, I'll look more after dinner.

IIRC, someone else was looking into this about 6-12 months ago.

I still haven't gotten around to integrating CommPoint with ELK. Neither one is setup in my house yet (sheetrock next week if I'm lucky).

I do have the CommPoint hardware. It is quite a stack of circuit boards - its must be expensive to make. Here are some pix.

Yes, the compoint devices are pretty large. I finished my install last year and it was quite a job. I also installed a CAV6.6 so getting all the wires in the box was a pain, but I am very happy with the system.
