ELK M1 causing phone noise

Thanks for your help and suggestions. I really appreciate it. I will need to go back over the grounds. I sm pretty sure the ONT is grounded to copper pipe running near it. That is separate from the main panel ground for sure.
This was an upgrade from existing honeywell vista 20p that I installed a few years ago.
No high voltage anywhere near the panel. I will have a closer look tomorrow.

Could be a difference in ground potentials/loop between the ONT and the Elk enclosure (if grounded) or the electrical ground. If the hum isn't there when the pairs are twisted on the telco wiring, I'd start working back the other way. If it's easy to run, then I'd pull a fresh telco connection for giggles to eliminate anything there. All the electrical grounds should be bonded together, including the CWG and ONT.

Given the fact you replaced the panel, etc. I doubt highly anything is involved with that.

This might be helpful - or not -
Back in '03 when I first had moved to AZ, I was trying to find the source of noise in my intercom system. Using a probe from a tone generator set I was able to determine that the noise was coming from my garage door opener wiring. I had run the wire back to my alarm panel area for the purpose of automating the garage door. Anyhow - I find it quite useful for locating "noisey things".
Note that it will not pickup all electronic noises, and of course YMMV.

Update:
I tied ONT and ELK power supply to same ground, 3/4" copper pipe. ONT was already grounded here. Earth ground is over 90' away so thats not happening unless someone thinks that this is really important to try.
I ran temporary CAT5e direct from panel to tie into phone wiring to bypass wiring bundle to ELK panel.

Also, I disconnected everything else from M1 except security zones.

No change. What a pain in the *ss!

I tried to follow the exisitng phone wiring but it branches out all over the place and into several different kinds of wiring.

I am going to try and run a fresh CAT5e from the ONT directly to our multiphone wireless receiver with a single tap for the ELK panel thereby bypassing all of the exisitng house wiring and see if that helps.

Monk: Interesting thought. I will see if I can borrow one from work.

Thanks for continued suggestions!

FYI: The ELK enclosure itself is not grounded, only the power supply and the feed to the Elk 950 supressor is grounded.

Try swapping polarity on the T/R of the telephone?

Power supply being grounded sounds strange, so I'd need to know more info about that.

Have you tried removing everything off the Elk except power? Should be easy using the blocks.

Your premise wiring sounds a little suspect as well.
