Elk M1 chiming wrong zone

I've started installing my Elk M1G system piece by piece, zone by zone, a little bit each night. I recently added my third zone so now I have three hardwired door contacts. My system is set to chime/voice announce each zone name and most of the time everything works as I'd expect. However, since I've added the third zone the system will sometimes announce both zones 2 and 3 when only one of those doors is opened.

Any ideas?

check the wiring... check the terminals make sure they are tight.

Get the latest update version of the M1 from the m1dealer.com site.

When you open a door that double chimes, press the UP arrow key and see what zones are violated. If more than one zone is violated, then check the wiring.
