ELK M1 & ISY

After many many hours of plating around with different setting I finally got my ELK to successfully send emails when certain conditions are met.

I read many posts saying ISY is more reliable for sending emails. I did download the ELK configuration for my ISY.

My questions is the following. Can I use ISY and ELK M1 to both send me an email for the same even that was triggered. Meaning, if my Alarm goes off, the M1 and the ISY will send me an email. Can this have a negative effect if both system are programmed to send emails for the same event?

Any opinions on this?

The only negative that comes to mind is filing up your mailbox :)
Redundancy is good, especially for vital stuff.

I have my ELK sending email for 10 different events and it has been completely reliable. I suspect any issues are either the email is not configurationed correctly or rules programming issues. I have my ISY sending low battery email notifications for my 6 Insteon wireless motion detectors but I use the ELK emails for everything else.

I am also getting emails from the M1 and my ISY-99. The only issue that you run in to is only 16 different emails can be sent from the M1. That is why the ISY is so valuable.
