Elk M1 motion detectors - wired vs wireless

I am slowly putting together my Elk M1 alarm system piece-by-piece.

I have the M1 installed and configured. I have wireless door switches (plunger-g) on all of my exterior doors.

Now I am looking for motion detectors. I've been searching here and on the internet for the past few days but can't decide on what to do. The plan is that the detectors are only going to be used for security, not occupancy detection.

I have a GE wireless receiver for the ELK and have looked at:

GE - 924i (60-511-02-95) http://www.utcfssecurityproducts.com/ProductsAndServices/Pages/60-511-02-95.aspx
GE - AP750W (60-880-95) http://www.utcfssecurityproducts.com/ProductsAndServices/Pages/60-880-95.aspx
Resolution Products - REP110P http://resolutionproducts.com/products/compatible-sensors/rep-ge-elk-compatible-passive-infrared-motion-detectorpir-2/

Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about these wireless motions or maybe have a recommendation for a better one?

I was originally leaning towards wired based on what I've read on this site, but due to the house being a log home, it is going to be difficult to put them where I want them. Should I bite the bullet and mess around with wired units, or are any of the ones i have listed above decent wireless units?

The Resolution Products wireless motion is only $50 each. I like the price, but dont want the headache of frequent false alarms.

Motion sensors unfortunately are the biggest cause of false alarms, but they're critical IMO. If you hadn't specifically stated you want them for security only, I would be preaching to stay FAR away from wireless because they're pretty useless for any sort of automation or occupancy detection. BUT, since you said you don't need that and want security only, then wireless would be fine.

Unfortunately I can't offer specific model advice (because I prefer wired for automation, etc)... but just make sure you get something compatible with GE Crystal (not just SAW) and absolutely try to find a good dual-technology sensor. For your goals, that'd get you the best reliability.

Out of all 3 of these listed, since you're already with GE, I'd go with the 750's. Properly set up, their coverage is superior to the others listed. Also able to be jumpered to a 50 X50' coverage pattern and use mirror optics.

Thanks for the responses! If you were going to put a wired unit in an area, which one would you use? I'd like to stay under $75-$100 per unit.

I've heard good things about the Bosch wired motion detectors.
