Elk M1G and GE 350 CC/CX Smoke Detectors

I was trying to think of a way to wire the 6 350CC and 1 350CX to the Elk panel to be able to determine which was causing the Alarm. Since the manual says to wire 2 wire smoke detectors to Zone 16, I wanted to know what would happen if I did the following:

1. Wire the 350CX to Zone 16, setting the jumper to use 2 wire smokes. This would still allow the panel to detect that an alarm has been tripped.

2. Wire the 350CCs to regular zones, and set them as normally open. This would show if any of the other alarms besides the 350CX have been activated.

If this is possible, would you use 2200 or 820 ohm resistors for EOL on the regular zones.

I may be confused, but I believe the 350 series are 120VAC smoke detectors only? If so then they are not 2-wire devices at all. Just wire the relay/contact closure to any zone on your panel. The power comes from the 120VAC and battery. The 2-wire system is for smoke detectors that run on 12VDC and only have 2 wires for both power and signaling.

Thanks, they are 120VAC. I didn't realize 2-wire smoke detectors used the 2 wires for power and signaling.
