Elk M1G control panel bootware upgrade problem

I attempted to perform the M1G control panel bootware/firmware and ran into problem. Not able to do it. Message something about flash not working. I called tech support and was inform to send in the panel for repair/replace

Prior to upgrade I was running bootware 3.1.10 and 4.3.12.

Interesting! Not heard of an error report "Flash Not Working". Would like more details if you have any.


Make sure you were using the bootload upgrade Boot 3.1.X to 3.2.2. ElkRP would show not compatible if you tried the other bootloader upgrade.


If you are sending it in, Elk repair will get you fixed right up.

Did you use the right bootware upgrade? There is one to go from 3.1.x to 3.22 and another from 3.2.x to 3.22. You need to use the one from 3.1 to 3.2. Right after the bootware upgrade it will tell you there is no firmware and you need to immediately load the new firmware file. What is the state of the controller now? I'm guessing either the wrong bootware file was used or you didn't load the firmware right away (the bootware upgrade erases the firmware).
