Elk M1XSP

Hi,

I'm trying to do some basic intgration between my crestron system and my ELK M1 using a serial port.

The problem is that I have an M1EXP attached to serial port 0.

Is is possible to get the ELK to send out updates to the XSP serial ports? I'm not finding that this is possible.

Crestron will connect to the M1’s Main Onboard Serial Port or if the Crestron Driver supports Local Area Communication then through the M1XEP. Another options maybe available from Module Depot www.moduledepot.com (I think this is the correct address) but you will not be able to get Real Time Data through the M1XSP.

Anyone ever use a hardware serial port splitter?

If I can get the output signalling from the ELK's main port to my crestron, I can use ethernet to write back to the ELK.

BTW, the module depot crestron module is around $800.00.

I didn't want to spend that much.
