Elk Rule to Inhibit Output

Is it possible to write a rule to prevent an M1 output from triggering on.

Example: I use my M1 to control my sprinkler zone valves. I just installed a rain sensor and wired into a non-alarm zone and wrote a rule to turn off outputs if rain sensor zone is not secure.

My problem is, if it is already raining when the timer picks the zone valve the Elk output closes and the sprinklers are running in the rain. Of course it works fine if it starts raining while the zone is running.

BTW, I use the M1 exclusively, no sprinkler control panel.

Thanks for any help.

Update: I was thinking too hard  ...I use Homeseer event to trigger the M1 panel for the sprinkler zones. I realized I need to add a condition to the events to check the Elk zone before executing the action.

I would have the M1 Zone with the rain sensor open an normally closed really contact when watering is not necessary. Then just run the common for all zones through that contact.

That is if you have an extra relay contact on the M1

Digger - thats a great idea. I do have spare output for a relay to open the commons.

Thanks for the tip!
