Elk sending wrong email

I have started getting the email "system disarmed" when I arm the system. I have a rule that tells it to send me email 6 when the system arms and email 7 when it disarms. The email verbage of course reflects the situation.

Anyway, it is sending the wrong email upon arming. I have remoted into the system and cofirmed that it is actually armed. The only thing that I can correlate this to is that it seems to send the wrong email when the system has bypassed zones. Since the weather has been so good, I have been leaving some upstairs windows open which automatically bypass when I remote arm (keyfob). I do not know why that this would make it send the wrong email though.

Do you have the latest versions of ElkRP and M1XEP firmware (2.0.8 and 1.3.20 respectively).

If not, download and update both, then open the account in RP (no need to connect), Press CTRL-F7 to open the diagnostics window and un-select everything there except “Email†.

Then arm, wait a few seconds for it to send the email, then disarm and wait again.

After it’s done, click the Copy to Clipboard button and Paste it in an email to [email protected]. Elk Tech Support is expecting it.

Thanks

The ELK protocol is extremely easy to implement, and they did a great job on the documentation for sure. Eons ago, I wrote a small VBScript which implemented this protocol. It's still available, take a look at it to see how everything works:

BTW Spanky, I really like your join date, couldn't be more appropriate for a hardware engineer :)
