Premise Embedding an external media player?

Has anyone integrated an external media player? I use J.River Media Center and have just begun to review VideoLAN VLC (client serves as a streaming server as well). VideoLAN seems to be the most flexible.

Integrating an external media player would save us having to add each bit of new functionality as these players evolve. But probabally not easy? What about embedding it in the Premise browser?

Another new person I started using Premise several months ago and I like it a lot and the people on here are very helpful too. I'm not sure if this helps or not, but John in VA created a UPnP driver that works well with certain UPnP servers and clients as stated in this post .

Hope this helps. I tried using several server apps with this UPnP module, but it was pegging my PC to 99% so I uninstalled it. I believe this is because it was busy indexing my content, but I'm not sure as it made my PC run too slow to use. I didn't have any of the hardware based UPnP clients that are talked about in the post either, and I couldn't find a good software alternative, so I gave up as I was side tracked by other stuff at the time.

If you get the UPnP too work though and don't mind telling me what programs you used and system type, please be sure to post
