This is all great stuff but I am a believer in the KISS principle. I have 1 contact on the door at the top that is closed when the door is closed. If the contact is open then I know the door is open, whether it be partial or completely. If its not closed all the way (contact secure) when I expect it to then imho there is an issue for me to look at. I also have a function key programmed that blinks when violated and toggles the door. Also have a large indication on my CQC touchscreen. While it may not be as sophisticated as multiple contacts or BSR's method, it has worked well for over a year now.
