I'm haveing a senior moment today. Anyhow in NJ if I am putting in an alarm all fie detectors have to have high temp wire (red) what else has to? Do the sirens and keypads? If I remember it is worded like if it is part of a fire system?

The National Electric Code [NEC or NFPA 70] requires the use of cable type FPL for a fire alarm system. [FPL is commonly known as fire wire and it is commonly comes with a red jacket]. Many jurisdictions are in disagreement about what is part of the fire alarm system when it is combined with a burglar alarm system. The most conservative requirements would be to use FPL for smoke detectors, sirens, power and keypads.

But a funny thing is that the NEC allows the use of type CM cable as a substitute for type FPL. CM is standard CAT 3 telephone wire. CM can also be used for power limited circuits such as a burglar alarm system.

Requirements for local jurisdictions vary. To be sure it would be best to consult with your local fire chief or electrical inspector.
