:horse: I have the Elk M1G wireless receiver paired up with two GE Keyfobs.
The system hardware and software is programmed to open the garage door with the Keyfobs but I need some means of providing positive feedback for actual status of the alarm system when in car.
It occurred to me that it would be fairly simple to develop, (or jury rig) a FM transmitter that could be activated by auxiliary contacts when the keyfob opens the garage door. The transmitter could be modulated by the Elk M1G speaker output and would us an empty frequency on the FM Radio Band.
This would essentially provide any ELK voice alerts over your auto,s radio with limited range and could be programmed to stay on for shrt period of time.
Does anyone know if a device such as this already exists or has any one jury rigged one already?
