Is there a way to subsribe to the forums via RSS? I like to check out the new topics on my cell phone on the bus. I know IPBoard supports this but I cant seem to fine a way to subscribe to new topics in the forums I am interested in.
Only some of the key forums are available through RSS (Sofware Tracker, Articles). There is a Lo-Fi version, the link is at the bottom of the page, which should work really well with your cell phone.
I tried to lo-fi version, only issue is that you cant seem to do 'new posts' from lo-fi. Is there a way to search new posts in lo-fi?
Have you ever thought of adding all the forums to RSS? I think it would drive more traffic to the site. I have bloglines listen to Sagetv and CQC. When I get a free second I pull up blogline and can see all the new topics in one place. I then tag the ones I want to read later. Only the first post appears in RSS so you always get driven to the site if you want to follow the thread.
I assume them is a switch in IPBoard to enable RSS for the other forums? Is there some reason you have it turned off for the other forums?

I had it enabled for a while, but sometimes people would include non-standard characters in their posts, breaking many RSS readers. This was several years ago, and the software has improved a lot, so I'll take another look at this.
This seems to work now. I picked up 3 articles last night which looks about right as this is picking up new threads not any thread with no posts(which makes sense)
Thanks for opening the RSS feed for new topics. I was about to post with the same question and ran across this post, seems to work fine! You might consider making the RSS option a sticky somewhere...
