fsa-210 2 wire smoke detector and elk m1 - detector beeps in error

I have one smoke detector i'm trying to wire up. I have it so that it chirps when i test it (not sure if it's supposed to chirp or full sound) but then it does a loud 'beep' every 50 seconds which the manual says is ' other fault / trouble' or 'test switch -failed'. It does report an alarm to the elk according to the log.

only thing i can think of is that we're using an 880ohm resistor as EOL instead of the 820ohm that the elk calls for, but it's the closest i have.

If anyone is active and can help, i can be reached on AIM: ahreno msn: [email protected] yahoo: ahreno

You may want to call/email the dealer where you purchased the system or Elk Products Tech Support. I do not believe that ELK claims to be compatible with that detector (according to the manual online ELK claims compatibility with several System Sensor and GE 2 wire detectors). Personally I would not use a 2 wire detector with a panel where the panel manufacturer does not claim to be compatible.

I am assuming that you are using zone 16 on the M1 board and that you have the jumper set correctly etc.
