Garage Control From Elk Navigator Keypad (F1 Key)

I have Elk M1 with Isy and Insteon Garage Kit and have found instructions showing how to get this done if you have an INSTEON KeyPadLinc, however in my case I just want to use F1 key from the Elk Navigator Keypad.  I have searched around but not found much on this specific scenario.

So in my case neither of the below help much...

I've already done some preliminary testing/work on it, but I'm stuck now with problem that door just starts to open then stops.  Maybe I have a timeout setting wrong...

Here is the rule from ISY (I do have Elk Module installed in ISY also)
If
Elk Keypad 'Keypad 01' 'F1' is Pressed
Then
 Set 'Garage-Relay' On

ElkRP Keypad F1 Keys currently set as follows
Key: F1  Activates Event: 00 = Disabled  Illumination Event: 1000 = No Event

Current Garage-Relay Insteon setting in ISY set as follows:
Checked: LED on TX
Checked: Trigger Reverse
Momentary A: Triggered by either On or Off
Momentary hold time (seconds): 0.5

I don't own an ISY so I don't know the answer, but wouldn't it have been easier to connect the ELK directly to your garage door opener? ... that's what I did ;)

The INSTEON Garage Kit came before the Elk Panel did, so was just trying to make it work with what was already there.

I don't do ISY either, but having the F1 key set to 00/disabled seems like it wouldn't work.  The way I'm used to programming, I'd set the F1 button to turn on an output for 1 second and have the ISY look for that - it would also allow you to have the light follow that output, effectively giving you a one-second flash for confirmation (along with the beeps).
