Hi cocoonerz! I've installed a buncha solution 2000 glassbreaks from interlogix. Everything seems to be working in terms of testing etc. (all the right lights lighting up) but when I actually arm the system I can only get them to trigger an alarm when I hold the tester extremely close to the detector (like one inch away). Any ideas? And yes, I am using the tester indicated by the manufacturer. Thanks!

The glass break tester is designed to trigger the detector only after you've placed the detector in TEST mode.  Using the tester to trigger the detector when it is in armed mode isn't really a proper way to test it.

I know that's not the answer you wanted to hear, but if the glass break triggers when it is in test mode, then that's a very good indication that it will trigger if someone breaks the window.
