Group Buy - ELK-M1GSYS4?

Would anyone be interested in a group buy on the ELK ELK-M1GSYS4?

I was looking to get a elk system for myself as a early holiday gift/winter project. Based on what I have seen others use I was looking at the ELK-M1GSYS4 or ELK-M1GSYS4S

One of my electrical distributors is a ELK distributor. The best price I have seen online seems to be around $655. My suppliers price is around $540, think I can do them for $555 including paypal fees and shipping.

Anyone have an interest, assuming that $555 is a good price?

You can post anything you want here, as long as it doesn't get you in trouble with the actual stores (i.e., if it is dealer pricing).

As a recently authorized Elk reseller I can state ELK Distributors and Authorized Resellers are required to provide support to be authorized by ELK to sell their products. They are also required to provide warranty assistance etc.. They have to advertise at least with ELK's "minimum advertised prices" but can sell for any price they see fit. Anyone advertising less then the minimum advertised price may not be an authorized reseller so you should keep that in mind and check before buying.

FYI not all authorized distributors, dealers or resellers are on ELKS website as they only update it so often. You can call and ask ELK Customer Service to verify anyone claiming to be an authorized reseller etc. if you dont find them on ELK's website.

The $555 is not a bad price with the paypal and shipping fees (depending on where the shipment is going to etc) but someone else may be able to do better. I believe that there are several authorized ELK resellers/dealers/distributors on Cocoontech and I would bet most if not all would be willing to help a fellow Cocooner out but cannot advertise a price lower than what ELK authorizes so I doubt they will be posting prices in the forum.

I called them because I had questions and couldn't find all the parts on their site and found the technical guys knowledgeable and friendly. And they had all the parts that I needed although some were not listed on the website.

I believe others (Automated Outlet, HomeControls etc) would do the same thing. No matter what you buy (ELK, HAI, GE etc) you should always shop around and ask for the best possible price they can offer. Even at Sears, Best Buy etc buying appliances or electronics you can often get a better than advertised price.

That is a good price... I saw the map at automated outlet and figured my distributor's price was good. Maybe I will ring automated outlet up after the holiday and see what they can do..

yeah, once you add that to your cart at ASIHome, that's a hell of a price.

If you are an authorized reseller of ELK and are not on the ELK website, give ELK sales your logo and contact information so they can get in on the website.
