HA integration with Nest a reality

There's a plugin for Vera which works with Nest now. For how long, who knows? It's not using any sort of official API or anything. But I installed it, and I'm able to control the Nest and pull information from it.

Nest works with Indigo as well. A user developed a plugin for it back in June. I don't use it as I already had similar control with Venstar stats and Indigo but I understand that it works quite well today. The nests definitely look sharp!

Someone at work told me that the NEST supports SNMP. If so that may be a path to control...

For HomeSeer users, a developer has just created a plugin for the Nest thermostat that is working well on my system. Available in the HS board forum for plugins and scripts. Control is still a bit limited (temp changes via events only) but it's a big improvement over having nothing. I previously used an RCS serial thermostat connected to my Elk and overall prefer the Nest even without the connection to my automation. Having it accessible via HS makes it a home run.
