I built a new home last year and performed a self install of an Omni IIe. Everything has worked great, but I recently ran into a hurdle I can't seem to overcome. I'd like to be able to control a magnetic deadbolt from my keypads (and remotely via my HAI enabled smart phone). Thus, I purchased a normally closed deadbolt and installed the bolt without any problems. I connected the power supply and control lines to a prewired four conductor wire which terminates at my control panel. The deadbolt draws 900 mA, which is too much for outputs 1-8 on the board. Therefore, I connected the power directly to the 12V output and the control lines to one of my zones. However, I cannot figure out how to program the the panel to open the lock. I believe the lock is functioning because it opens when I touch the control lines together. So, I guess I'm asking if anyone knows how I can program the Omni to accomplish the same thing. That is to say, assuming I'm running 12V of current to the bolt, how can program this zone so it closes the circuit when the system is not armed?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
