Hi,
This is my first post on here so go easy on me. I also searched studiously to make sure the question wasn't already answered but I can't absolutely guarantee that it wasn't but I didn't understand the question/answer.....
I am installing an Omni IIe in a very old house (in the UK) where wired options are very limited indeed. To that end I bought the HAI Wireless Receiver (not the GE compatible model, maybe mistake numero uno) to which motion and door sensors will be connected. Not having totally thought things through I didn't order any smoke detectors nor did I order temperature sensors. I am cool re smoke detectors, I can get the cheap-ish GE receiver and wire that into the Omni IIe, so far so good-ish.
I am also going to use the Omni IIe to control heating in the house, which consists of, as of today, underfloor heating and a UK anomaly called "storage heaters", which are basically a pile of bricks in a radiator like case that are heated up electrically overnight (when energy costs are cheapest) and give out heat through the day. Once again, turning the various heating circuits on and off is achievable via relays connected to the Omni IIe. I am installing a single HAI Omnistat.
My question is, can I get a little more granular in my heating control via temperature sensors and if so, are there any wireless ones that are compatible with the Omni IIe (either directly or via a third party receiver)? I am not 100% clear on how this all would work but assume that a room thermostat would trigger the respective circuit for, eg "room 1 heater", "room 2 heater", "underfloor" and so on?
Can anyone advise on the above? Help would be greatly appreciated. The only caveat is that any products must be compatible with 220-240v circuits.
Many thanks
Marc
