Seeking an HAI OmniPro II expert to add connections to existing HAI system. Work can be performed in evenings and on weekends, or during normal business hours. Job site is in Bergen County, New Jersey, USA.

Please send an email with your experience with making connections to an HAI system to poster.

Do not reply if you are not extremely skilled with HAI systems.

Thank you

I suggest you contact HAI for some recs.

Make sure the person you use is licensed in NJ.

Most state governments post or maintain lists of licensed alarm installers.

I found a list of the state association officers, in my state. I called their companies, and found a local one that was famiiar with my system, and used them to troubleshoot a problem a year or 2 ago. I wanted to find someone reputable, and serving on the board, I think, is a good indication.

Thank you for your kind response. We are not looking for a bonded, licensed alarm installer. Rather, we seek an intelligent, tech savvy individual capable of integrating newer technologies into our existing infrastructure. Regrettably, the "alarm specialist" and even the so-called 5 start HAI dealers with whom we've come in contact lack the mental horsepower to grasp new technologies.

I suggest you contact HAI for some recs.

thanks,

The local distributors may have some recs for you. You can find them with a google maps search for security+distributor, or ask HAI who the local distributors are.

A large distributor of HAI products, Worthington Distribution, is located in Tafton, PA - a 2 hour drive from Bergen County. Worthington does a lot of sales nationwide - maybe a call to them could provide you with a local rec.

They provide a lot of HAI training. Some of the Worthington employees post here at cocoontech.

Maybe you could phone, or PM some of them - look in the HAI subforum (under Marketplace).

Maybe one of the Worthington salesmen/trainers is looking for some evening or weekend work. ;)

You seem to be a little cagey. Enlighten us. What is this "new technology" that is so hard to grasp? You're integrating with an HAI system so I seriously doubt that a rocket scientist is needed here. You can use the gear that HAI speaks to natively, digital I/O or interface with something analog via another piece of gear (HAI really needs to add analog I/O, it's missed). What else could be so difficult?

I've gone as far for jobs and would consider it IF it really was a challenge (and they signed my contract and paid my required deposit). My gut says, "No, easy peasy. Someone's over thinking it."
