HAI OmniStat2 - ELK M1 Setup

Quick question.  The home we're building has two conventional furnaces and is wired for two Stats.  I've already purchased two HAI Omnistat2's (1000 model).  Do I need 1 or 2 ELK-M1XSP's?  The XSP manual I looked at online mentioned 1 XSP could control up to 4 Omnistat2's.  If I connect the two stats to one XSP, how will the ELK system differentiate the two stats (zones)?

Thanks in advance.

You only need 1 XSP for up to 4 Omnistat's. The setup menu on the Omnistat allows you to set a numeric ID on each stat, i.e. 1,2 etc. The M1 uses that ID number to differentiate the stats, i.e Thermostat 1, Thermostat 2.

I've been using an Omnistat2 (2000) with my M1 for several years now and it works great..

Highly recommend that you take extra time to read the instructions for configuring the XSP and Omnistat carefully! There's a lot of little things that can mess you up if they are omitted or done incorrectly. Good luck...
