HAI UPB Dimmer for 100W 12v LED Dimmable (magnetic) Driver

Can I safely use HAI's 35A00-1 dimmer with a magnetic transformer (100W 12v LED Dimmable Magnetic Driver)?
 
Would I get a full range (comparable to a magnetic dimmer)?
 
I'm trying to keep it cohesive with the rest of the dimmers in the house and Pulseworx's dimmers are too 'clicky' for me.

In the docs it states:

To reduce the risk of overheating and possible damage to other equipment, when configured as dimming-capable, do not install to control a
receptacle, a motor-operated appliance, or a transformer-supplied appliance.

 
However, the table at the bottom lists Inductive Loads (Dimming) as OK.
 
 
I use SImply Automated UPB switches to control two LED transformers.
There is no hum and the do operate fine and dim.
The dimming range is quite different though.
I get full dimming from 0-35%, but I do not see any perceptible difference above 35%.
So I set my scenes and dim levels "recalibrated" to the narrower scale. 
i.e. full on is 35, "50%" is 17, etc.
 
My transformers are 48W, 24VDC.
 
I think any triac based dimmer would produce similar results, but the 12VDC transformer may give a different range of dimming.

I would NOT use this dimmer, if you plan to dim it.  You could set it to ON/OFF only mode, and it would be fine.  When it says "inductive" loads I think it is referring to dimable CFL bulbs.  When it says transformer-supplied appliance, that is you. 
 
The problem is that this dimmer would create a waveform that a transformer wasn't designed for. Chances are it wouldn't catch fire, but then again, it probably wouldn't dim very well either.

The Simply Automated docs specifically state - "Magnetic low-voltage lighting".

Simply Automated dimmer switches are capable of dimming some non-incandescent lighting, such as halogen, dimmable compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), dimmable LED bulbs and certain low-voltage systems. Low-voltage lighting can be dimmed if the transformer is either (a) magnetic or (b) specifically designated by the manufacturer for use with standard incandescent dimmers.
 
Do they have the same specs as HAI? Do the SA dimmers have the same tactile feeling that the HAI?
