HAI/UPB Media center plugin - Alternatives?

Guys,
Been using the HAI 1109, home control software media center plugin.. It looks old and dated, and slow. Does anyone know of any alternatives, or updates so it interfaces better? I'm stuck with rewriting the hai code, but I don't want to go that route.. yet.

I'm on a HAI omnipro 2 controller..

Ideas/suggestions?

Its convenient when I have an xbox extender in the master bedroom.. and I want to check lights/security from in my bed.. without having to find my phone..
