HAI UPB PIM

Noticed tonight that no commands (on/off/dim) appear to be working with my HAI UPB PIM. Yesterday noticed that the panel turned on the UPB switches but didn't turn them off. Tonight tested with PCA and manually tried the UPB lights and none of the responded to the HAI commands.

Went to look at the PIM and no LEDs are flashing when sending a command.

My guess is that the PIM went "out". Is that a good assumption?

Tried the reset of the PIM (5-10-2). No LED flashed with attempt to reset.

This MAY be a stupid question...... but you have power on the circuit it is plugged into right?

Id measure it with a DMM, and even still move it to a known good outlet.

Yes tried that. I have four separate single gang boxes plugged adjacent to fuse panel each with their own breaker. (now X10/Insteon, UPB, Z-Wave).

Is this a common issue with the UPB PIM?

The insteon controller failed after 4 years and the Z-Wave is brand new. I do still have a very old X-10 CM11 functioning fine after about 10 years - but currently not plugged in.

Switched over to using the SA RS-232 controller for now. Guess will RMA this one - it's only a couple of months old.
