Haiku Haiku notification - feature request

I don't remember if I asked for it before, but it would be very nice to have Haiku use the notification center in iOS to notify messages from tht OPII.
I don't know if Apple would allow this but I'd like something like a notification when a new message appears (like when the keyboard beeps) or the alarm is triggered.
It would be nice to have it even only when under wi fi.

Yes, i know, but I'm asking for a haiku feature here, not haiku helper. HH is cool but you need a Mac to have it go and not everyone has one.

For you to get a notification on an iOS device, something has to send the notification. If you don't have a Mac monitoring the HAI panel, who is going to send it? The HAI panel doesn't send it.

Uhm... I don't get it. Haiku itself would put a message in the notification center: it's an app running on the device, it can do that.
The only problem I see is if Apple doesn't let it listen in the background for status changes in zones.

It can't do that because it won't stay connected in the background. This is not really possible without HaikuHelper. And even if it was possible it wouldn't make sense as a mobile device has an inconsistent connection that can be on and off but you don't want to miss notifications.

Thanks, I was afraid it was like that.
Keep it in mind anyway if and when Apple will change its policy for background app.
The missed messages will be an issue, of course but having some notifications is still better than having none... :)
