Haiku HaikuHelper Remote Server

Hi, I am wondring if I can run HaikuHelper on my mac server and have it connect to my clients systems and they can access their system from a web browser through my server? Can this be done via port forwarding? Does it effect the speed going through a remote server vs a local server?

Thank You,

Emmett

Keep in mind however that if their internet connection (or yours for that matter) go down, you lose that functionality.

Personally, I would always put a MacMini locally in the installation.  You can run other software on it as well like SiriProxy, make it a NAS box/Time Capsule, etc.  It's a major value add.

I have a client that has a blackberry, can I use HaikuHelper and customize a interface to fit the screen of the blackberry? How hard would it be to do?

Thanks

Yes you can do this. Its relatively easy given you are familiar with web technologies. Its all done in HTML/JavaScript/CSS. We provide an easy to work with framework for creating any kind of custom UI. Full documentation is included.
