My wife an I just purchased our first home and I am looking forward to "geeking" it out as my wife says. I am pretty good with learning new technology and taking on DIY projects so I am pretty excited. Right now we are doing the basics like redoing the floors/counter tops/paint but hopefully sometime this winter I can start working on the security and whole home audio system! Until then I will be checking here often to learn as much as I can.

JWilson I have your blog and showcase bookmarked and am planning to copy your whole home audio setup. I think the combo you have put together is perfect. You know of a good place to find an ocelot or sound card? The new firewire m-audio cards include a ton of extra features I wouldnt ever use and they are kinda pricey. I have been keeping an eye out on ebay and trying to find a decent deal on a 410 or even a 1010 but havnt gotten one yet.
