That said I am imagining you are typing on your tablet as you drink your Margarita poolside in your now completed and automated home eh?
How exactly is that going to happen? You think Windows is going to go away any time soon? Microsoft just came out with what is likely to be the most successful version of Windows ever, and that's saying a lot. CQC already outlived RA1, and will likely outlive RA2.And I don't want to use something like CQC or Elve that could easily become obsolete with the next OS.

You can purchase a Leviton OmniPro II and use the new (beta testing) Homeseer 3 plugin for the OPII panel.
Today I use events sometimes in the plugin to control units on the panel or do direct automation (da meat).
Sometimes I mix and match events from the OmniPro panel and Homeseer or one watches over the other.
I am not sure if the Elk M1 supports Radio Ra. If so there is a seasoned Homeseer 3 plugin that supports the Elk M1 panel.
The Elk M1 Homeseer plugin author has been around since day 1 of Homeseer (1998). His forum name is UltraJones.
BTW this message has not changed while you have been reading it. It only looks like it changed.

Yes, the Elk M1 supports Radio Ra2 - http://www.elkproducts.com/product-catalog/elk-m1xslu-m1-to-lutron-radiora2-serial-interface
So here is an interesting situation. If HS3 supports Elk and Elk supports RR2, does that mean I can control my Lutron lighting with HS3?
I guess the same could be asked for HAI + RR2 + HS3 since there is a beta plugin for HS3 (I did not know that).
rsw686 said:One feature missing on the Elk integration is that it can't see/act on RadioRA2 keypad button presses. With HAI you can have rules activate when a keypad button is pressed. For example a button labeled away could arm the system, turn off the lights, and music when you leave the house.
But I'm still not clear that if I have HAI and RR2 in combination with HS3 will I be able to control the lighting through HS3?
pete_c said:Yes. Every lighting device and scene or Link is a variable in Homeseer.
IE: Here utilize UPB, Z-Wave and X10. I can talk to all of them via Homeseer.
Goofing around with the Amazon Echo here can tell the HAI panel to do something via Homeseer.
