how do you wire your siren and strobes?

Just wondering how others wire their sirens and strobes on your M1's

Do you wire them both off output 2 and select "voltage" in Globals?

Or do you seperate the siren from the strobe and run the strobe via a relay and back to a seperate 12VDC supply?

Is there a best practice that is recommended?

It really depends on the total current draw. Watch out for strobes as they draw a lot of current. In that case then yes, use a relay and have that trigger the strobe off of another power supply.

I always like running things through a relay as opposed to directly from a voltage output regardless of the current the output can source.

If you run both of them from the same output, you cant then have the strobe on without the siren.

THis allows you to run the siren for a minute or two and then turn it off, but keep the stobe going to provide a visual alert security services as to the property that has had the alert.

You may have noticed the blue light flashing when you are out and about. The siren is off, but the light continues to flash until the system is disarmed and the alert accepted.

That's a good idea and I'd like to implement it. So sirens on output 2, but what about the strobe? What about can be used???
