how to send emails to multiple addresses through elk?

I would to send about 4 emails per event. I assume you can only enter 1 email address into the XEP setup screen. Is there another way to do this in rules?

If I want to send to 4 places for each message, then I can only send 4 different messages.
Right. The addresses are hard-associated with the messages in each of the 16 message slots.

What I do to overcome this somewhat, for non-critical alarm situations --
(1) Send the "real" message to my "regular" email address which has the full content; there are several of these, one for each alarm condition
(2) Send a "referrer" message to my other email account(s) saying in essence "refer to the real message for details"; there need be only one of these defined for each account (this is where the savings occurs)

Burglar and fire messages are sent immediately and in full to all relevant accounts.

This won't be satisfactory for every situation, but it is a way to get some relief from the constraint.

You could always forward to say a gmail account and then have a filter there that then forwards it to multiple e-mail addresses.

Not the neatest way to do it, but it should work

are these messages you have something that you typed up or are you using values from the elk at the time of the alarm? If your using values, how do you reference them?

The M1XEP provides for 16 fixed messages. There are no variables. All you can do is send the messages you have defined.

If you have your own email domain, or an email provider that allows distribution groups, consider creating a group called [email protected] or something similar. That address group would contain all your actual recipients.
