I have posted two new threads so far so I guess I should post here too!
I have lurked here for a long time and am having a new home built that I plan on staying in for a long time! I am excited to be able to invest in home automation now knowing that I will enjoy it for a long time to come. (Did not make sense to do it in previous home knowing we would be moving!)
I will be starting off by getting the home network up and running which I have already made a post about with some structured wiring questions here:

About the same time I will be installing an ELK M1 which I have been researching for some time. Is it best to ask questions about the ELK install in the security forum or the ELK subforum?
Later down the line I will investigate my lighting options, as of know I am leaning towards Insteon/issy994i/Elk integration but we will see when I get closer to that.
I am curious about the showcase thread that is now locked, has that been replaced by something else?
