HTPC for a motorhome

I'm trying to help my uncle decided on a new computer for his motorhome that he lives in all year long. I was thinking of setting him up with a laptop that he can use to run Boxee or XBMC. I am having some trouble deciding a controller to use for computer and also he has 2 TVs in the motorhome. Its hard to run new wires in there so wonder what his options are if doesn't want to move laptop from TV to TV. He currently has a RG6 wire that runs from where the front TV is to the back.

I was thinking it would be nice if he could run some wires close to front TV where he could just plug laptop in most of the time then just use a RF controller so he can use for front or back TV without moving laptop all the time.

I have a 27' travel trailer that I am going to put SageTV in. (On my someday list) Same scenario as your uncle, smaller space, 2 TVs, one out front, one in bedroom. The Sage media extenders can do wireless. Going to hook one up to each TV. The sage server will be something small, will probably add capture for OTA and cable hookup (channel hookup for cable might be problematic so may skip and just stick with OTA). Will use an external HD for the movies and just pick what I want to bring along (my WHS is 8.2tb which is a bit much for camping) heck the whole things is a bit much but because I can do it, I'm going to.

Instead of a laptop you could put a desktop CPU in, one of the TVs could also serve as a monitor with a wireless keyboard and mouse. The PC could then also serve as a media hub and something like the SageTV setup I described above.

I have heard many people talk about the SageTV but I don't think my uncle will end up recording much so not sure that Sage is the way to go. I showed him a bit of the Boxee software and he was really into the Netflix plugin and also being able view pictures/movies while staying in the software. I am also looking mostly for laptops because they will only have one computer so being able to move the computer will be key.

The hardest thing I am trying figure out is the controller. I am thinking RF would be the way to go but I would like to get some opinions on a nice controller before I buy.
