INSTEON and X10

I'm a long time X10 user and just learning about INSTEON.  I'm looking to purchase a ISY994 and INSTEON Dual-Band PLM so I can phase out X10 and phase in INSTEON over time.

I understand how the dual band INSTEON devices rebroadcast INSTEON signals but the documentation is not clear about X10 signals.  Will the INSTEON devices also re-broadcast the X10 signals?

No. Only Insteon signals are re-broadcast.

Since X10 used 310MHz for their RF and Insteon 915MHz for their RF. Insteon Dual Band devices will not process X10 RF signals.

The older Insteon modules that are not Dual Band. Still re-broadcast the power line Insteon signals. Dual Band is both power line and RF Insteon signals

If you are phasing out X10. This may not be a big concern. Some of the latest Insteon Modules have dropped X10 support completely.

Insteon power line modules have a power line  transmitter in them. In some cases this transmitter can absorb signals. So if your X10 system has marginal signals. It is possible as you add more Insteon modules. Insteon improves and X10 gets intermittent.
