I think that in order to remain objective and settle this once and for all, we're going to need to get a picture of Sloop's wife and have a poll.
Only kidding! hahaha That was an interesting thread, even though it does get a little tiresome listening to the non-stop complaints. I guess I'd be pretty pissed as well if I spent thousands and didn't get the results I was looking for.
Personally, I'm happy with Insteon so far, except for the PLC. I've had problems with it from day one, and even got a second one in case the first was faulty. The bottom line is that it is not reliable and is not fully windows compatible.
Admittedly, I'm still a relative noob when it comes to Insteon. All I have so far is a couple of Lamplincs, a couple of Appliancelincs, a timer switchlinc, a high wattage dimmer switchlinc, a couple of access points (recently upgraded from signalincs), and a controlinc. I'm just waiting for my Remotelinc. I'm looking forward to seeing what other products are in the works and I'm hoping that SmartLabs gets their act together with the PLC, though I've more or less made up my mind to buy an ISY99i Pro and a PLM.
