Is the ELK M1 compatible?

How do I know if the M1 is compatible with my security monitoring service?
Is there such a thing as security company compatibility?
I am presently using a NX8 but will be upgrading as soon as I get done with all the lights(UPB) in the house. This should be within the next couple weeks.

As long as it is a 'standard' monitoring company it will be fine. The M1 supports the Contact ID and SIA standards. And so does the NX-8, so you are good to go...
