ISY-26 with ELK M1 Ethernet

I have an ISY-26 working and I recently installed an ELK panel with the Ethernet adapter.

What are the basics to get this working together. I am not finding much on the internet about setting up this combo

1. The first thing you need to do is to open the admin console of your ISY and enter the details into the 'ELK M1XEP' section of the Configuration tab. This will allow the ISY to monitor your M1 and update it with changes to your Insteon devices.

2. I assume you will want the ISY to manage your Insteon devices. The next step is to generate the ELK export file. The button for this is in the same section you entered data in previously. This process will generate a file that contains the references to all of the Insteon devices you have setup in your ISY and maps them to one of the M1's internal light references.

3. Finally you will take the file generated in step #2 and upload it to your M1. This step allows you to easily configure your M1 lights so they will be in sync with the ISY integration. You do this using ELK-RP. Open the account file for your M1, expand the 'Automation' entry in the left panel and right click on the 'Lighting' label. In the pop-up list you will see an entry that allows you to 'Import Lighting Data..'. Upload the file you created before.

Close Elk-RP and you should be working. Note that the Elk-ISY integration will be disabled any time you have ELK-RP connected to your M1. This is by design.

Update: Wuench posted his link above while I was typing my response. His link is a better and the official reference.

Perfect!

Everything works now.

I just now need to look into assigning F5 on my keypad to turn on/off downstairs lights.

Also turn on lights for a disarm - when I come home at night

I am not sure what happened but now it is not working.

I am using port 2601 and when in the ISY software the top panel line flashes open and close for the elk control.
I changed this to 2101 port and I loose the Elk control options.

Any thoughts?

In the ISY's configuration page, clear all Elk configuration fields, then save and reboot the ISY. Double-check your Elk IP, port, and security code. Once the ISY is rebooted, re-enter the information, hit SAVE, and the Elk bar should appear on the top of the Admin Console.

Be sure you did not disable the Elk unsecure port - this is the port needed for the ISY to communicate with the Elk.
