ISY-99i M1G integration issues

I am trying to get my ISY-99i integrated with my M1G and I keep having problems. First, here is my M1G setup:
Boot: 3.3.2
Firmware: 5.1.20

And my ISY: Insteon_UD99 v2.7.0

My problem is that as soon as I fill out the info for my Elk M1XEP under the Configuration tab I get this flashing row of buttons on the top of the screen for arming, disarming and going to the Elk console. They pop in and out pushing the whole screen down each time which is very annoying. If I clear the fields and save, it goes away and I can re-enter the data without getting the flashing but I never get the M1 console like I have seen in the pictures.

I have tried Doing a factory reset and then setting everything up again but that results in the same problem.

Additionally to this I can no longer communicate with my one and only Insteon component: my i/o link for my garage door. When I try to link it flashes a progress bar on the screen for a moment and then goes away with out finding my IO link. The IO link was working at one point but it lost communication with the sensor so I deleted them and tried to re-link them but now I get neither the relay or the sensor.

kinda getting a bit frustrated.

I see you wisely also posted this on the ISY forum, but I will answer here also, in case you see it here first. Are you entering port 2101 in the ISY config?

Sorry to cross post. I am trying to get any help I can.

So I was under the assumption that this field was for the port of my M1XEP which was 2601 so that is what I set it to. I switched it to 2101 and the flashy stuff disappears (Thanks). I still do not see a M1G tab like I have seen in the screenshots. Do I need to add the Security code field, and if so what code is this? The RP Access Code or the code I use to arm the system?

Ok just found some important details which I will post here which have gotten me a bit further along.

So I now understand that when you say "use port 2101" I need to enable the non secure port in Elk RP for my M1XEP.
I also needed to upgrade to at least 2.7.6 for my Insteon IO link to update correctly.

I still have no Elk M1G tab as I have seen in the screenshots. Should I be seeing this if it is setup correctly?

Can you post a URL to the screenshot you're referring to? You should get a bar across the top of the ISY's Admin Console showing you the current arm state of your Elk, with a field that allows you to type your security code to arm/disarm.

The reference PDF files I have been looking at show a tab, although this might be an older version of the softare:
http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/12231quickstart.pdf (page 2 shows a tab that says "ELK M1XEP"

I am not seeing a bar across the top either though. I did when I used the encrypted port but it only showed up 2 times a second which was kind of annoying :(.

I will go through it all again and see if I missed a step. I feel like I am very close to having it.

Yes, newer firmware releases eliminate that tab.

Be sure the unsecure port is enabled in the Elk, clear the Elk configuration fields in the ISY's Admin Console, SAVE and reboot your ISY.

Go back in to the ISY's Admin Console, type in the Elk IP & unsecure port # (leave the access code blank), hit SAVE and the Elk bar should appear.
