Keypad Beeping - no trouble

Hi
our system's keypads have started to beep quite regularly.
pressing * gives us a break for a while
the LCDs in the keypads do not show any trouble conditions.
ElkRP does not show any Errors or Troubles in the Status window
The log shows transient Ethernet Trouble events ( see screen shot, if I can get the forum to accept one )
any ideas?

What is the Elk plugged in to?  A network switch?

If so, is there any way to turn off speed and duplex negotiation?

Are you using the XEP with Ethernet monitoring by a Central Station?  That would be my first guess to focus on.  Kind of like a telco trouble.

Just guessing here: I suspect that the Ethernet Trouble is a fairly "new" trouble and it might be a bug that it doesn't show up on the keypad?  Or maybe because the troubles are restored fairly quickly, they do not show on the keypad as they are no longer in a troubled state?

Are you at the latest firmware levels?

Thanks folks,

I think what it was - at least until it happens again - is that I had the Vantage Design Center open on a VM, and it was connected to the Elk via the XEP. I had forgotten about this setup / project before my last road trip.

infact I have a few things talking over ethernet to the M1, but it usually isn't a problem.

In this case, however, since the Ethernet Trouble messages were so quickly auto-resolved I'm guessing there ws some kind of overhead issue at the XEP which resulted in the condition being raised.

I'm guessing that troubles which resolve themselves still need ACK. I'm going to see if I can auto-ACK somehow.
