Keypad Display Character Size

I'm torn between buying a system with the original M1KP or the M1KP2. One bit of the specifications I haven't been able to find is display character size. The display appears larger to me on the original; is that correct? If I wake up to an alarm in the middle of the night, I'll need all the help I can get until I find my glasses as I attempt to read the panel I intend to have sitting on my nightstand.

Thinking about the coming winter weather, I recall my glasses steam over when I enter the house, so I also should have the easiest to read panel at my primary entrance by the back door.

The only panel I've decided on so far is for the rarely-used basement door where I expect to install a M1KPAS arming station. No display to be concerned about there.

Yes, the original M1KP does have larger and easier to read characters. But the KP2 is still a decent size and pretty readable. But if you are ok with surface mount only and a larger form factor then the original KP is definitely a larger display.
