Kwikset door lock control using Z-Wave

Is it possible to control a Zwave lock from a zwave light switch. I am trying to control a downstairs door lock by installing a zwave lock and using an upstairs light to show lock status and also be able to lock unlock from a light switch. Also I would like to control the lock from a phone intercom that puts out a momentary close when the * key is pressed. This would work if I could use an ICM from PulsWorx although PulseWork is not Z-Wave compatable.

I'm interested in this lock as well, but it would be my first attempt with z-wave. Well, with automation period... So I'm trying to figure out what to use to control it all.

You would have to install a zone/group switch that supports the Security class. I don’t believe that Leviton has updated the VRCZ1-1LX firmware to support Security class. From documention, the Evolve http://www.eguestcontrols.com/products/lighting-devices/ltm-5/ supports Security class. I don’t have any experience with Evolve devices though (YMMV). If you have a Elk Z-Wave solution, then you would just program a function button on keypad to toggle lock.

In theory, you can use InControl (www.incontrolzwave.com) to do this. You could setup an event to watch the switch, then use it to activate the lock. I say "in theory" because InControl has support to fire events like this, but it doesn't yet support locks (lock support comes around July.)
