Leviton SnapLink App not showing the AC

Hi All,

I'm sure there is a simple reason for this, but i've just a chip firmware upgrade for a client so he can have app control, but for whatever reason,  when you click on the thermostat, it does not show anything for the AC.

I tried the setting the t stat to AC and it doesnt have a problem with this, but still nothing on the app.
Its very puzzling since i've set up quite a few and always you get the heat and AC control in the app whether you have AC or not.

Any ideas???  I've got a couple months before cooling season arrives, hopefully a solution by then.

Cheers,

Kevin

Guessing that you can see the status of the thermostat in PCA and change it; eh?

What model thermostat is it and how is it connected to the OmniPro panel?

Snaplink downloads the configuration from the OmniPro panel to run.

Retrieved yet?

Otherwise, You cannot control thermostat if have address same as zone number configure with AUX sensor type (Temperature, Humidity...)

The Omnipro II panel is an old one.  I had to upgrade the firmware by replacing the chip, so its 4.0B now.
I haven't checked the physical wiring at the panel yet since its an existing setup that worked for years, but his older style omnistat died and I replaced it with a new Omnistat RC2000.

Is it your view that they may be on a different output?  Maybe the really old panels used a different zone?

no.

As mentioned above if the thermostat has the same ID then it should work.  By default guessing it is one (#1),

The wiring should be the same.  Check it at the thermostat.

The labels / colors  wire to wire should be identical.  If you are in doubt disconnect the thermostat wires and check them on each end.  I have by accident switched the wires on the HVAC side of the thermostat making it disfunctional.  Even though I was able to see a display.

The thermostat to panel wiring is 3 wires.  one ground, one power and one zone.

Depending what you are using the thermostat to furnace wiring is 3-5 wires.

These wires control the AC and heat and fan mode on or off or auto.

This would be the same wiring with your old thermostat and the panel.  When you upgrade the panel you should cold reset the panel.

IE:

1 - Save your programming with PCA
2 - cold reset it per manual keypresses
3 - program your two encryption keys via keypresses
4 - program your IP via keypresses
4 - connect to your panel via PCA (network)
5 - upload your old configuration
6 - it will change with the new firmware
7 - save your new configuration

8 - your old stuff should all be in there

9 - check your thermostat live status - note that the furnace (HVAC has to be on with the cover over the motherboard as it has a switch on the cover to shut it off along with a switch to power it down typically right on the furnace or next to the furnace plus it has breakers on your fuse panel for the motor of the heater / AC if it is a forced air system).

If you see a display on your thermostat and you can turn your furnace fan on or off or heat on or off then it is just an issue with the three wires that go from the thermostat to the panel which is easy to check.

I'll try all that when i'm next on site, but has anyone every seen the AC controls not appear on the App?  The wiring is fine, I know this because it has been there for 10 years working trouble free.  I'm not understanding why the heat controls appear on the app but not the AC.
When I called Leviton, they said to make sure it was set for heat/cool, but it already is and i've experimented with my home system changing the configuration of the omnistats and nothing I do makes the AC controls disappear from the App.

I am guessing that the heat/AC controls are working fine on the Thermostat and you see the following thermostat Heat/AC stuff in PCA.

Whatever you see in PCA should be in the App.

Yes, I agree that it should be, but it isn't.  I'll try rebooting the controller and the retrieve data.  Its shows the heating side, but not the AC side.
It does look exactly as your pic in PCA, but its an extremely old controller.  I think it was running 2.1 or something for firmware.  First time i'd encountered one that needed a new chip to upgrade.

Have you tried to turn on the AC with PCA and looked to make sure that the thermostat responded to the PCA control?
