You have the power to be a unique positive force on this board. You have needs that most of us do not know or understand. I suppose that your personal safety and security calls for solutions that resonate strongly with the technologies we discuss and apply here. We can all benefit from your experiences and our consequent efforts to help.

I thought of this early this morning during a brief power failure. Just this weekend, I checked-off the last of 31 to-do items, and called my Elk cutover "complete" after six months of part-time (very part-time) work. The power failure announced at around 1:00 AM, and both my wife and I were happy with that (!) because it ensures that we do not miss morning alarms and appointments. We both have our hearing and vision, so the announcement over the speakers was for us sufficient. But I thought, what would I need to do differently if we had sight or vision impairments? What should I do for guests and visitors who have these needs? This is where you can perhaps help us.

At the same time, many of us on this board are puzzled by your balance of values. Your priorities, for the most of us who must choose only a few things among the many things we would *like* to have, are hard for us to understand. I hope that your post-college life is blessed as you seem to be today.
