Logging Outdoor Air Temperature Ideally Using the ECM-1240

I would like to monitor and log outdoor air temperature and have no idea how to go about doing this. I have an ECM-1240 and would like to use Aux 5 to do it but if it is currently not possible I am open to other means. If it make s a difference I am only going to be logging the temperature and not using it to control anything.
