Looking for thin wire USB / network

Any suggestions for using thin wire (cable) for USB / network transport?
 
I am wanting to put a USB port and network connection from the carpc (in the rear of the truck) to the front glove box. 
 
Carpc does have wireless / bluetooth built in.  Automobile PC autoconnects to mobile phone.  Mobile phone autoconnects to car HU via bluetooth.  (auto also has 2nd 3G connection plus bluetooth pairing to phone). 
 
Thinking maybe thin catxx might work.  I am not using the wire chases as they run under the seats and not easy to get to.  Rather running wires from the rear battery compartment, under the rear seats (which are easy to remove) then to the side trim panels up to the glove box.  Thin cables are optimal for this stuff.

How about plain old 22/4 alarm wire.  Smaller diameter than cat and you only need 4 wires for usb2.

Thanks SDA.  Never thought to try that.  I purchased an active USB cable but its too thick.  Its not really a long run from the glove box to the trunk - battery area.
 
Might go though to a powered 12VDC USB hub a few feet away from the carpc then take another USB cable from that.

I have never heard of a car PC before this. What operating system can you install? I did a quick search and found mini box with intel and atom processors but no mention of the OS or apps.

It's been a hobby here for a few years. 
 
Its just a regular PC running Windows embedded connected to a device on the bus and displaying on the HU (head unit).
 
The mini pc is powered by the ignition on switch.  The apps are numerous these days.  Music, video, pictures, TV, ODBII diagnostics, BUS, NOS, GPS, Internet, Bluetooth, TTS...goes on and on.  Mine emulate current HU stock OEM display as another menu / device on the bus.  The module has a secondary video output for aux video displays (other than HU).  Both automobiles have a little mini OEM rack with much of the electronics/modules that slide computer wise into the rack.  It was built very modularity where you an add more devices on the bus installing them in black spaces on the rack. Most of the electronics between models are interchangeable. The PC was another add to the rack of stuff.
 
Software runs in Linux or Wintel. 
 
All of the years of playing never did install a accessory USB port in the front of the vehicle from the PC in the back of the vehicle.  That said I did run an AUX audio input to the front; never use it though.
